Idaho and the Montanas, at least, have a long history of dicking around doing nothing in the face of major upheaval. It would be nice to do something to actually try to improve our situation rather than just keep floating along with the current.

Latah, I greatly respect you as a poster. Want you to know that, and don't want you to think I'm treating you the same as NoDak, or something like that. That said, what you're saying here is just so wrong.

- Saying that comparing Summit/Big Sky/MVFC to IdMonDak is the same thing as comparing the PAC to the MWC, is straight up horse manure. Apples to watermelons. Again, *IF* the IdMonDak would be FBS ... it might be more reasonable ... but I see no reason to allow such an assumption in a reasonable discussion.

- the CFP has literally nothing ... literally, nothing, to do with the NCAA. It's a private, separate organization. It's owned by 10 DI conferences + Notre Dame. Each have a president on the CFP's executive board. Therefore, the next CFP deal will have literally nothing to do with the structure of NCAA DI football. Nothing.

- there has been, for some time, message board talk about two separate ideas: 1) creating a third sub-division for NCAA DI football for G5 schools and the top end FCS schools, 2) essentially merging G5 schools with FCS. Both are pure fantasies, usually from FCS fans. Both should be dismissed as such.

- I will absolutely grant you that you are right about the concept that by the time information comes public, it may be too late to do something, and that it is nice to be proactive, especially with a history of being slow to act. That's easy to say, and hard to do.
