RE: An Analysis of TV OTT Platforms
I found good resource for those looking to unbundle their phone bill.

https://www.whistleout.com/CellPhones/Carriers

For a steady data user on a cell phone (not a big streamer) probably 5GB of data is more than adequate.

-Sprint has an unlimited plan that is free for 1 year with unlimited data. BYOD deal. If the plan is normally $60 a month it can save you $720 a year however I don't think they buyout equipment installment plans with a credit.

-T-Mobile has a prepaid plan for 3 dollars a month for text/talk only. Talk and text time really has no value anymore on the market.

-Mint will give you 5GB for an intro price of $20 for 3 months and then at a regular price of $30 dollars.

-FreeUp has a $30 dollar plan with 5GB that includes international calling. This sounds better than the Mint offer with the international included.

-US Mobile will give you 5GB for $27 a month as a MVNO on T-Mobile/Verizon.

-Freedom pop is offering 2GB of data for $9.99 with an upfront charge of $119 dollars. It will probably work for a casual internet user but if you do anything like stock trade on your mobile phone you'll run into issues.

You may want to go direct to the manufacture and sign an EIP with them instead of a carrier. Samsung is offering a T-Mobile enabled phone with a $500 dollar trade in for the S8 to get into an S9 or Note 9.
