We can get VERY well attended games by playing in-state FCS teams like NSU (who we have WAYYYY more history with), Southern, or Grambling. None of those teams expect a return trip.

Beating ULM is no better for us than beating South Alabama, UMass, or Bowling Green (our upcoming G5 opponents). ULM, however, just wants to be mentioned in the same sentence as Tech. Playing ULM would just help legitimize them as an FBS program, which they certainly don't act like. We have no interest in propping them up.

If they go FCS, maybe we can play them every few years. But if we're going to play an instate G5 team, the only one we really want to play is Tulane. ULL's fans are horrendous, so we're fine not having to deal with them more than we already do.
