Something fishy is going on with Liberty's endowment.

815 university systems report their endowment level to NACUBO (the National Association of College and University Business Officers). Liberty is not one of them, which is VERY strange.

According to IPEDS (which is self-reported data to the federal Department of Education), Liberty's endowment was 126,421,721 at the beginning of fiscal year 2014-15, and 1,054,285,564 at the end of the year.

That's a $927 million jump in one year (up 833%). Where did that come from in one year? It wasn't a gift: that would be headline news, and Google tells me that largest gift they received was $70 million in 1998.

That's crazy! Ok, how do you transfer $927 million to your endowment in 1 year? Where was that $927 million before it was put in the endowment?
