Records obtained from the city of San Diego showing actual attendance figures for San Diego State football games over the past seven seasons indicate a venue about the size of what is being proposed for Mission Valley would have been adequate for most Aztecs games.

According to the city, SDSU averaged 25,617 fans through the turnstile for its six games last season at Qualcomm Stadium, well short of the 37,289 announced attendance that is generally cited as the team’s average.

The highest actual average attendance for SDSU football over the past seven seasons was 28,274 in 2011, and the team has drawn crowds of more than 30,000 to exactly one-fourth of the 44 home games it has played in that time.

Of the 11 games in the last seven years that drew more than 30,000, three exceeded 40,000. In that span, SDSU drew fewer than 20,000 a total of 21 times.

You can't get a P5 to come visit you in a 30k stadium.

Wake got Notre Dame to visit them in their tiny stadium before the ACC move. There were 29,000 ND fans packed into that little sardine can. I remember thinking they could've moved the game to Greenville. ECU wouldn't have charged Wake.....much.
So 29k ND fans travelled to Wake...

Well yeah. 29k fans were there. If 29k were there and one of the schools provides 0 you are left with 29k.
I love rhetoric that makes no sense. So nobody frokm Wake showed up for Notre Dame. Also the Wake administration made 29k tickets available to Notre Dame fans but zero to their own fan base? So the purpose of scheduling ND was so ND fans could come to Wake and be prioritized over season ticket holders who have been buying tickets for decades? LOL. Sure fella...
