RE: ODU will open 2018 Football at Liberty
I'm not a fan of Liberty U or their political or other views, but this is a football game. My kid isn't thinking of going there. My first thought was, "Why would we go there? Why wouldn't they come to us?" But, I realized as independents, especially transitioning up, schedule filling is going to be very hard and they HAVE to have a certain number of home games. I figured it was for a big paycheck, especially when it meant rescheduling UVA. I would not have guessed it was this big. I was thinking maybe it could reach $700K. I thought a million would be a reach. $1.32 million? Take the money and run, I say. It is scary that they have this kind of cash to throw around and since they hired Baylor's former AD, who should rot in hell with Art Briles, I'm frightened of what they might do with that kind of cash behind them and an amoral slug for an AD, but they have it, we need it. Can we open there this year, too?
