With the youth development being done in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, Canada is going to become a power in CONCACAF within the next cycle or two IMO. They're going to supplant teams like Costa Rica, Jamaica, and T&T who have no dedicated professional academies of any significant quality.

Costa Rica is the best in player development in our region per capita. This is a country that has a population of 5 million which is half the population of Ohio and they have more than held their own against USA and Mexico. They made it to the Quarterfinals of the 2014 World Cup winning the Group of Death that had Italy, England, and Uruguay. Saprissa has a strong Academy that has produced a lot of great players.
