You are correct and you need to add the attempted Muslim ban, plus the President calling half of the nation's who are voting S$@!holes. UEFA wants Morocco to win the bid so their fans don't have to travel far and the games will be televised in the afternoon and Prime Time which also means more $ for FIFA.

Yep, all of that. Also, kind of makes the Carlos Cordiero election even worse when we get beat out by a country with three Category 4 stadiums, only 6 international airports (of which two would see more visitors in a month than they typically get in multiple years), no club soccer infrastructure of note, nearly no financial infrastructure to build the other needed venues, AND is estimated to generate more than $2B less than it's competitor.
