He's managed 10 points out of 12 against teams in 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 8th in the table, and we're still only one point clear of the relegation places.

We seriously would have potentially been 7 or 8 points adrift of safety with even an average run out of those 4 games. He'll have to earn his title the next few weeks though. Swans next 4: @ Brighton, vs West Ham, @ Huddersfield, vs Southampton.

The relegation battle this year is insane. The 3 teams currently in the drop zone, West Brom, Stoke, and Southampton all have what many would say is too much talent to be relegated, yet the newly promoted teams and traditional strugglers are grinding out results far more often. There's 5 points between 18th place Southampton and 10th place Bournemouth.

We might actually have a year where 40 points doesn't guarantee safety.

Tell that to Big Gravy...
