Martino and Wynalda were terrible campaigners! They focused on the media and fans who have no voting power and they should have put more effort into gaining the support of the Athletes Council and State Associations.

So what does this election mean?

It means we're f'd he's the head of MLS soccer which is extremely happy to continue to rig the game to protect their investments. In the long run this will hurt development and you will see more dual citizenship go to play outside the u.s. it is also doubtful there will be any kind of change to the pay for play model. The US will continue to struggle to be a top 20-25 team.

Thanks for the explanation. Seems like in the long run MLS is cutting off their nose to spite their face.
