Kyle Martino officially released his plans to implement Promotion and Relegation within US Soccer by 2030. It's the first full concept plan to transition from a closed to an open system that I have seen to this point. Interesting read

1. Freeze MLS From adding new franchise's beginning Jan 1 2024
2. Immediately begin negotiating for commercial television rights for 2nd and 3rd tier with the hope of television coverage by 2024.
3. Eliminate the concept of player contracts with MLS. Transfer all player contracts to clubs beginning in 2024. Eliminate the allocation order in which clubs are assigned Americans moving back from overseas, so players negotiate directly with clubs instead of league.
4. Promise FIFA complete transition to International Calendar by 2023.
5. Negotiate international TV rights for MLS beginning in 2024.
6. Loop in regular adult club leagues to create a 6 tier Soccer Pyramid by 2038.
