Another in the long line of managers who probably would've been able to build a hell of a team/record somewhere but decided he wanted to go to a team with unrealistic expectations.

Given the roster that Everton has put together, I'm fairly confident that there were no realistic expectations of them sitting in the drop zone on essentially November 1st.

They could have held on for a few more weeks, but they risk falling into the trap Leicester did last year and find themselves in an actual relegation battle at the end of the Christmas period.

Not to mention that unlike Leicester last year, who was actually pretty good in Champions League play, Everton has stunk up the joint in Europa League play as well.

I think Koeman is a good coach, but I've never felt he was a particularly great fit at Everton.

Oh I get it...I just think their fans are also delusional if they think they were ever going to crack the Top 5 consistently....especially when they don't have a striker. Koeman was getting paid quite well and comfortably working in an environment where anywhere between 6-9 would've been fine (Soton), but went to a place where 6-9 was the reality but the expectation was 3-6 (Everton).

With Lukaku top 4 was a possibility, once we sold him top 7 was realistic as long as we brought in good players. The flaw was Koeman refused to change the tactics once we didn’t land a target man his tactics called for. Add in the player and staff hated him and we are here. Day 1 and we already have Rhino talking to Ross about signing the extension which basically further proves Ross didn’t want Out he just wanted away from Koeman.
