Having said that, I'm still going to watch the World Cup. There isn't a better sporting spectacle, IMO. So, if anyone else is still inclined to watch, who will you be pulling for? For me, it's Peru (if they win the playoff match Nov 6 against New Zealand). If Peru loses out, I'll go with Spain and Argentina.

VA49er My 2 favorite National Teams outside of the US are Argentina and Spain. My brother's best friend is a Barcelona fan and he cheers for Argentina and Spain along with the US. I have noticed that American Real Madrid and Barcelona fans have something in common and that is supporting Argentina and Spain. Vamos Argentina y Espana!!!!

I don't care much for Real Madrid but I do pull for those guys on the Spanish NT. Spain has won the WC so I'd like to see Messi win it before he retires. If those two come up against each other, I guess I'd pull for Argentina.
