Actually I think them ditching the commercial is more of a push to send people to the shop that's actually in the stadium on the concourse. To that extent, it's MUCH MUCH MUCH closer than you think; in fact, it's 40 yards from the video board beneath section 201 (right over there).

Glad this was brought up, cause I had forgotten all about that fan-fave ad, and didn’t realize how much I really do miss the chuckle or two each game.

On a more nuts and bolts angle, my guess is that whatever is aired during the game would be paid out of the Follett marketing budget, not by JMU, and they may have just decided to no longer run it.

A mistake IMHO. I know it spurred the Mrs Dunk and daughter to go get some stuff more than once.
