It's outrageous that, since they moved the jumbotron to this side of the field, they haven't updated the Bookstore commercial to point the arrow to inform us that the building is closer than we think (in fact, it's right over there).

Honestly can't believe that when we built the new scoreboard the reaction was, "Welp, gotta ditch that commercial since the arrow's in the wrong direction now." What they shoulda done is update it with stunning HD graphics added to the arrow to really emphasize where the bookstore is.

I've been hoping admin would correct this issue, but it doesn't seem like anything is getting done. I can live with every other decision that's been made, but why in the world would we ditch such an iconic commercial? Have we all forgotten? Am I the only one who communicates with their spouse by telling her that household items are closer than she thinks and then glares at her until she replies with a statement beginning with the phrase, "In fact"?

Wife: "Hey, do you know where you left your keys? I need to grab something I left in your car."
Me: "They're closer than you think..." (points toward counter on the opposite side of the room from hook where I always say I will hang the keys)
Wife (with a sigh): "In fact, they're right over there..."

Anybody else out there bothered by this?????? Or have we all just forgotten our roots?

I don’t think I ever saw that commercial. When I was in school the scoreboard was just a scoreboard. I moved out of the country in 2004 and didn’t make it back to see a game at JMU until a game against W&M that they barely won a few years ago (2012? 2013?).
