Ok, I guess maybe I phrased my question incorrectly.
What you guys are saying is that, to get the support of the students, it had to be just BW, or else referendum likely wouldn't pass. Even a grim BW stab was better than any other conference for student (and faculty?) buy-in in the admin's view. Right? They rolled the dice possibly knowing /not surprised with this outcome?
