Well I know that GCU is going to be cutting one guy lose at least, depending on whether or not Benson is on scholarship. GCU may be working around the fact that he is a family member of faculty so he gets free tuition I believe, but don't quote me on that. If Benson is on scholarship, then two guys will be leaving from the program. If I was a betting man, I would put my money down on any combination of Matt, Shaq, or Boo being the two transferring.

It's also possible that someone loses their scholarship, but sticks around. Could a guy like Boo, who has already sat one season and lost 2 more to injury, really afford to transfer elsewhere and sit another year? Jackson graduated last Spring, so maybe. Shaq is a good change of pace from Benson & has strong relationships w/multiple guys on the team. I don't think he is going anywhere.
But if he was guaranteed a starting spot after DeWayne ran out of eligibility, he might not be too pleased with coming off the bench again.

I could be wrong, but Coach Majerle doesn't strike me as a coach who promises playing time.

Show up.
Work hard.
Compete.
Repeat.

I would have a hard time believing anyone is guaranteed anything on GCU's team. JB is probably the only player I am 100% confident predicting as a starter from Day 1. Everyone else has between now and Nov. to elevate their game.

On a little tangent, don't you think we put too much into being a "starter". Being one of the first 5 on the floor is great, but I want to see who is on the floor at the end of the game. That seems way more significant to me (unless it is garbage time).
