Jamie Dixon will certainly have them competing. Maybe not #9 good, but they were already #29 in KenPom and that was only with one season of work. As I understand it, he's been doing pretty good on the recruiting trail.

Good for WSU getting early BPI, but BPI is all wonky until a decent amount of games has been played see OU that high. They might be better and be a tourney team, but that high right now is ridiculous.

These preseason polls are all circumspect. We haven't won anything yet. The writer gave us a little respect, then backhanded us with the M/M tag. It's great to hear nice things said, but this league is going to be a dogfight (I still like our chances). As for OU, we played them very early with their best and only experienced player playing and they were pretty good and imo, going to improve. When he went down, the youngsters couldn't handle it. They may not be atop 10 but will be talented and more experienced.
