People are going to blame the kneeling but in actuality. He just wasn't very good after they had a book on him. D coordinators figured him out. It happens.

I don't think anyone is denying his lack of playing ability is the culprit....it's the piling on statements that rub too many raw....sometimes it's better to keep one's mouth shut and focus on the matter at hand relative to the paycheck....

it's ironic how too many - once paid - become the next coming of hey-zeus and believe the masses should follow...fk'n narcissistic bastards is all they are....it's pathetic how culture is evolving on the screen....

Its not even the statements. But the disrespect to the national anthem when he is at a game "working" is a step too far. Lots of Hollywood performers talk a lot. But not very many do it on the stage (looking at you dumb Dixie Chicks).

As others have already said in the thread, Kaerpinick's antics would have been tolerated - grudgingly - by fans and owners alike if he was one of the top 5 or even top 10 QBs in the league. If you are average or worse, your antics will be judged much more harshly. It's no different than work where the top sales guy can take more liberties on the job than the lowest performing person.

National anthem is not part of the actual game play, so it would not be the same as an actor going off script in the middle of the performance and opining on something political. Your analogy would work if the there is a controversial preview segment that would have to be played before the start of the actual movie.
