They hired Arkansas St's head coach after just one year in Jonesboro. He went 20-12 this season including a win at Georgetown.

Why would he go from Sun Belt to a C-USA school? C-USA is a step down I heard.

He wasn't hired because he was a Sun Belt Coach. He was hired because he was a former Baylor assistant and probably has lots of recruiting ties in Texas.
