RE: The official Jeff jones hot seat thread
The good: We held the Toppers to 59 points. Excellent defense. The zone defenses and multiple switching of defenses was a solid coaching effort that should be recognized.

The bad: Call it what you will -- on the harsh side it's "choking." Easing off a little it's "failing to rise to the occasion." This is a team that shot 37% from behind the arc this year going into the the WKU game. Against the Toppers they shot 7.7%. We've all been really happy with the improved free throw shooting this year. They shot 70% going into this game. Against the Toppers, they shot 50%.

This loss was not on JJ. It was on the team. Period. He gave them a solid game plan that they just failed to execute on the offensive end of the court.
