RE: Will the Clippers join the Rams and Chargers in Inglewood?
Getting out from under the Lakers' shadow would be a savvy move for the Clippers. It was generally accepted that Sterling's decision to join the Lakers at Staples Center was an ego play and not necessarily the best move for the team. It's interesting though, that the new arena might be on the existing site. Would an arena with only one basketball tenant make as much money as, say, a commercial or retail development?

OK; just read the article. It makes a lot of sense that Ballmer is shopping for a new home although I still have a lot of questions about Inglewood. The most obvious answer is knock down the Forum and build the new facility. But apparently the Forum is "protected". So we'd end up with three event venues within a stone's throw of one another? It'll be interesting to see how this plays out...
