Hard money...real dollars coming out of the bank accounts of Hamilton County from tax receipts, Lindner is demanding $2.8 million dollars a year every year for the next 30 freaking years. That's the $75 million you read (it's really $84 million but people believe what they are told). It's real money not pushing paper around via TIF.

The thing about TIFs is that if they don’t produce enough tax revenue, the taxpayers are on the hook. Look at the mess that is the Yum Center!

Think about that - 30 years! Anymore, stadiums turn obsolete after 20. Mapfre is now deemed useless. Just think about what’s being built - a 25,000 seat soccer stadium. If soccer grows like FCC ownership suggests, 25,000 will be too small. I see demands for more tax money in 10-15 years because the facilities will be inadequate.

I kind of hope Newport gets it. They whore themselves to any developer with money. Let them pay the price.
