They'll never beat a Nippert sell-out because they don't sell as many GA tickets as there are seats & they don't sell student section tickets.

Well that was certainly the case last night with a reported sellout and then attendance listed at 33,000+. On television, the house looked full so this will likely breathe new life into the conversation about seating capacity.

I'm not a soccer fan (nor a detractor) but Nippert looked pretty awesome last night and the energy around this two year old minor league franchise is nothing short of amazing.

I'm not by any means some conspiracy theorists, but you'd have hard time convincing me that another 5,000-7,000 people would fit in that stadium last night.

The Bailey, since GA, could hold a few hundred if not a thousand more when 1 seat to 1 ticket, and the GA had PLENTY of space last night(Berding said they gave up hundreds of GA tickets they sold for Crystal Palace last time so fans would be more comfortable.. football time, they will allow thousands more in there since students love being inappropriately close to each other..

I absolutely agree that there are more "seats" that could have been sold in GA -- but looking at the stadium last night, if you told me "Eh, we can fit another 5,000 in here, easily" I'd call you a damned liar.

I'm cool with UC reporting whatever number they want to further their own ends, but there is no way, no how that Nippert holds 40,000 actual people.
