KSU is just north of Atlanta which is inside the current Sun Belt footprint which makes the travel arrangements for non Football conference teams easier and cheaper.

KSU vs Ga State games would put 40,000 in the seats every year.

I would expect similar attendance for games against Ga Southern.

The USA, Troy have a lot of alumni in Atlanta metro. Not sure about Coastal Carolina alumni numbers in Atlanta.

KSU has about 37,000 students while Liberty has 15,000 students on campus.

KSU is the better social fit for the SBC.

JSU's problem is that there are already two SBC schools in Alabama and is in a rural location like Liberty.

Atlanta > Lynchburg > Jacksonville, Alabama
