RE: St. Joes
I agree Mojica losing his cool there was not warranted and hurt them badly as it put him with 4 super early in the 2nd half. Even when he picked up his fifth on a silly foul his body language said all that needed to be said. We needed him because, when he played, he was shooting well and by not being out there, he ended up hurting us by not being an option.

Rodney missed a couple of dunks and seemingly a lot of free throws (seemed like more than 5). But I can't fault him since he carried the team all night and was literally doing everything for this team. The last 3 possessions just were not good ones as it seemed like we played to not lose instead of to win and that really made the difference. 2 shot clock violations and a blocked shot on a bad shot. You can't have that at the end of close games and expect to win.

This game was still a great challenge for our team because they really had to face adversity with foul trouble and injuries. I think Myles and Sam Green really answered the call in their minutes. John Moran also helped pitch in more than he could have expected, though he was seemingly trying too hard and took a couple poor shots. However, getting these guys real experience (15+ minutes for all 3) should only pay dividends when we run into adversity in conference play as well. Getting good looks at these players is always a good idea for the coaching staff, and Spiker has done this brilliantly.
