I'm on vacation now, will check when I get back. A few quick points:

1) Latest report shows cost of a full scholarship as $59,000. That's the sticker price, not what the average student pays after financial aid. If that's the way they are costing scholarships, that's a change from the prior practice, and one that will increase both total cost and university support.

2) As for the Stanford-type scholarship endowments, looks like they are producing about $2M income. That would put the corpus somewhere in the $40M range, given Rice's practice of disbursing 5% of corpus. That's a pretty healthy number, but far from total scholarship costs.

3) Corporate sponsorships are still pretty minimal.

4) Guarantees for 2015-16 are $1.2 million. I would guess that's from Baylor and Texas football, not sure what else it would be. Compare that number to other revenue sources and I think it's pretty clear that's going to need to be a significant revenue source for some time.

5) Total cost of Patterson is reported at $33 million of which I understand roughly 80% ($27 million) was funded by the university. That's pretty much the same model as was used for Tudor. If that was spent over 3 years, that would average about $9 million a year. That appears to be about the amount of the increase over 2012-13.

Without setting the plow any deeper, it looks like there is enough information here to do some significant analysis.

Bottom line, I think we agree, the program needs more revenues.
