ODU and ECU are an odd couple, athletically speaking. Disregarding their struggles of late, ECU football is far ahead of ODU structurally, and it's where ODU wants to be. But ECU basketball is the drizzling *****, and they were well behind VCU, Richmond, W&M and JMU in terms of being a CAA rival. I wouldn't be adverse to a long-term football H/H deal being linked to a long-term H/H basketball deal. Beneficial to all parties.
