If that is true it reaches epic EJ ridiculousness! Who is giving extensions and writing up these contracts?

He got an initial four-year contract. That contract has a rollover provision that happens unless he was given notice that it won't be allowed to rollover within 5 days of the final game of each season. This provision adds another year to the contract unless that is stopped by notice. It's pretty standard operating procedure for all MS schools to counter the four-year limit of state law. Bower had it, Fedora, etc.

I assume McGillis did not stop the rollover after the first two years, so he entered this year with four years left, given the whole 2 years to resolve the Donnie mess.

I assume after this year that whoever the AD is will not allow the rollover to add a year, and deservedly so.

So that leaves 3 seasons on the contract after this one is finished.

This kind of crap is absolutely mind boggling. I want a contract like that. You want a contract like that. Everyone wants a contract like that. What the hell is wrong with college administrators. Everyone in higher education gets a participation trophy.....of like a millionaire dollars. Crap. Just crap.
