Sounds like Dodgers and Turner are pretty close. 4 yrs, $64MM. Some of it might be deferred, which would could give the Dodgers some opportunity for more signings while staying under the top tax threshold. But not if they sign Jansen, which by all accounts they continue to work on.

ETA: Wow, sounds like they're also close to a 5 yr deal with Jansen (haven't heard $ yet but heard Dodgers initial offer was 4 yrs/$55MM and that was rejected pretty quickly). ETA2: More wow! Saw a tweet from Ken Rosenthal that 2017 will be a "transition year" for the new CBA and luxury taxes will not be fully in place. I didn't see any details but presumably that means Dodgers won't pay full 90+% on payroll over $235MM. That's huge. And next year, with a bunch of payroll coming off the books (Crawford, Ethier, Guerrero), there will still be room for bringing guys in and staying under the threshold. ETA3: It's done.
