Please keep in mind that my concerns are not with what transgender people will or won't do. My concern is about male predators, who I deem are likely to take advantage of a law that opens all public bathrooms to all sexes at all times. Let me say that again: The Charlotte law opens all public bathrooms to all sexes at all times. Do you really think a significant portion of the population doesn't share my concerns? And, even if you do, do you think that is grounds to simply leave those concerns unaddressed?

And why should the burden of proof be on me? Shouldn't it be on the people who want to change the law -- in this case Charlotte? What kind of research did they offer to show their new law would not have detrimental effects on the safety and privacy of others? Answer: None. What kind of provisions did they put into place to ensure the safety and privacy of others? Answer: None.

And, no, my question is not rhetorical. What kind of limitations to transgender protections laws, if any, are you willing to accept to protect the privacy and safety of non-transgender individuals?
