Or am I way off base?
I think you're cray cray. We just need a invite. If we get one and then the NCAA steps in and says nope you can't move up because you are a Christian school then you'd be on to something.
That won't happen, because you would have the biggest lawsuit ever.
As far as invites go, JMU had the invite; however, they were dragging their feet at the time, so they lost it to Coastal Carolina (you guys didn't have the necessary facilities at the time).
Also, I don't think the NCAA is anti sectarian/non-secular; they just don't support state governments enacting anti LBGT laws, when the trend, federally, is protecting their rights.
That is not true. Our facilities are among the best in FCS, if not the best including better than Coastal Carolina. We were not passed over due to facilities unless (and more likely) we had too many good facilities and the Sun Belt was afraid of us outspending everyone else.
I'm talking about FBS level facilities.
I read several articles, which stated that your football stadium and facilities didn't meet FBS requirements at the time and JMU's did; in fact, JMU is the only FCS stadium that currently meets FBS standards (all they have to do is add a second level to their "visitor side," thereby adding the 5,000+ seats to meet the FBS 30,000 seat stadium requirement). You're stadium doesn't even hold 20,000, so tell me again how your facilities meet FBS standards; additionally, if you guys really believe there is an anti sectarian vendetta being waged by the NCAA, go have a chat with Baylor, TCU and SMU.
