RE: Should the A-Sun look to expand?
I think the best case scenario, and I may be looking at it from a FCS football prospective and looking out for UNA and KSU, but if Chattanooga really wants to be in a conference with UNA, KSU and JSU, and obviously the UAC thing cant happen.

The ASUN should try to add Chattanooga, that hits UNA, and KSU. Also gives them Lipscomb in state and a Florida recruiting base.

The ASUN gets to 10, and that's a good number.

Then, if I'm the ASUN, I take the UAC idea to the OVC, they are increasingly more concerned with Basketball over football (and rightfully so) as opposed to ASUN when the commissioner has openly expressed that he is increasingly concerned about football. Let them make a football only conference with the ASUN and OVC. Then Chattanooga has UNA and KSU in all sports and their biggest football rival (JSU). And the ASUN has a good footprint and another school in a decent market.
