If JJ can't get two good bigs (maybe Reese is ready as a freshman, who knows?), then JJ needs to go. NCAA's or bust. Nothing else will do in 2019.

I don't think he is going anywhere short of NCAA violations or finishing 5-25 and showing up to games drunk. Everyone is thrilled with the watered down stadium rennovation and donors are shelling out their money at a record clip (and the big donors love JJ). As long this continues to be the case, JJ will be the head basketball coach. At best, donors hold back a bit after missing the tournament and he gets yet another year because it will take way too long to feel that impact... but I predict the donors will throw their money into the pot and there will be no need to replace the head MBB coach no matter what happens next season. And let's face it, as bad as CUSA is going to be next year, he will finish in the top half and probably the top 4 regardless of whether he lands any transfer big men.

JJ is definitely on the hot seat right now....if he doesn't get a big ( either transfer or juco) and we have a lousy season next year Broderick will fire him.

That needs to be the case, but how do you define "a lousy season"? We won 25 games this past season but I would consider it lousy, starting with a lousy schedule and ending up with a lousy, record setting ODU absence from the NCAAs.

Anything short of the NCAA's has to be the end of the JJ era. I'm tired of waiting for "next year".

Its almost comical that someone would consider last season a lousy season. 2nd in CUSA; lost in the semis to a top 60 team.

We had a very friendly schedule. We were, at best, the third best team in CUSA. We did beat everyone that we were supposed to beat, at least in conference.

We lost, again, to W&M and VCU. We took a step in the right direction, finally finishing in the Top 100, buf lost 3 times to a team that, until last year, was way behind us.

And 3 of the 5 players who helped get us in the Top 100 are gone.

Lousy may be too strong a term, but unacceptable fits better.

If JJ has a similar season as this past year, he needs to go. NCAA's or bust.
