My biggest issue is offense. He refuses to allow anything a little unstructured or up tempo. Scorers seem to come into his system and struggle with confidence and hesitancy. They seem to be worried about taking a shot that is not in some set system or missing and getting yanked and chastised. Scorers and play makers have to flexibly and a clear mind with no fear to be effective.

Which scorers are you referring to? Color me intrigued to see how Hueitt is used.

Haynes, Kah, Green, Caver, Fields before he was forced to leave because JJ squashed him. He had better let Hueitt have the green light and not pull him when he misses or takes a bad shot that doesn't fit his style.

Green hasnt played. Fields is a walk on that shot way too much. Caver shoots at will. Kah/Haynes were scorers vs much weaker competition. Its not like Dean Smith supressing MJ, here.

Fields played in 27 or 28 games and only shot around 45 times for the season. I'm sure that total includes a few times when as the point guard he had to get a shot up before the shot clock expired to prevent a turnover. That's one of the drawbacks of the slow, prodding, deliberate offense Jones has the team playing.

I remember quite a few games that Fields would jack up BAD shots..... and not because the shot clock was winding down.

Haynes had the green light to shoot a couple of games -hell it appeared in a couple different instances he was the option on the reversal- but would end up 1 do 7 or 1 for 8.

Personally I think Haynes was out of shape last year AND Fields thought he was better than he was. Kah was a nonfactor so I'll reserve judgment on him until this year
