It was a major contributing factor as to why McRory just lost. Their legislature can keep fighting it as long as they want but it won't do them any favors.

That's a good point. If the State of NY disallows a SUNY school from playing at Duke in MBB, then pretty sure that will extrapolate to other sports and affects a far wider net of games. The CAA doesn't announce the FB schedule officially until mid-summer IIRC so they have time and the "feeling" is that the state of NC will get their act together in January (remains to be seen of course after yesterday's debacle). So, my guess is this will be taken care of in time.

Having said all that, I wish the CAA would release the schedules far earlier than they do. No reason to have to wait until after contribution priority deadlines for season tickets and the like. In the past the TV contract with NBC/Comcast was part of the rationale for the late release. Even then, I thought it was stupid. I think they should release the schedules by February or March. Maybe not game times and TV, but at least the dates. Hopefully, the CAA is solidifying something with ESPN and a lot of the games in 2017 will be streamed live via ESPN-3/WatchESPN.

Isn't the new governor repealing the law like now?

I think that is why they may be waiting.
