Really hope we adjust future schedules so that we are tuning up against someone who can at least provide a physical test for our players. Bare minimum should be Northeast Conference schools w/ their 40 scholarship limits.( and even those schools- are they really any better than 36 scholarship limit D-2 schools?).

Saturday's win was fun and a great atmosphere. We got to play a lot of players. But I don't think we gained any new insight on our O-line capabilities because it was such a mismatch. And since we passed so little, not sure we know much more about that part of the game either. Hope CCSU provides a better challenge.

I left the game Saturday thinking I hope we never play this team or teams like it ever again (AKA hope we stop continuing to schedule them... what's scheduled already is scheduled). I'm not one to email people in athletics, but strongly considering reaching out to JB on this one. We didn't learn a thing about the identity of our team, except that we can beat the snot out of lower competition. I understand the scheduling philosophy of getting to 8+ wins, but look, if we can't have a winning record in our league, then we shouldn't be in the playoffs. We need to take care of business against elon/rhode island/towson/stony brook/maine/etc, have a couple nail biters along the way, and face someone in our OOC schedule that at least makes for an interesting game and makes our players learn from that game. Our players didn't learn jack about what it takes to play a tough team last weekend. I don't expect to learn much out of CCSU this weekend either. That'll set us up nice to go think we can walk onto the field in North Carolina and win just because.

for all this drum beating about peers and being the best athletes and academics and state records and all that, we should schedule like we want to do all that too. I'm not impressed.
