Have just came out of under a rock? They are already D1 and made the men's basketball tournament as the ASUN champs a few years ago. They have been in the A-SUN since 2005. 2009, they became eligible for post season tournaments. I think you got them confused with UWF who is D2.

dbackjon correctly stated what he meant. Since UNF does not have football they would still need to achieve D1/FCS status first.

If a conference that is FBS in football invites a non football school, and they decided to play scholarship football, they would play in that conference...

True, but that's not the situation here. A non-football UNF will not be invited to the Sun Belt.

I agree, and I thought that's the point I was making.
