I felt like I was being beat over the head that he is supposed to be scary, but he never earned it. Still never completely understood how he got to be such a badass. At least caring about his kids and family gave him a little depth.

Spoilers*
I really liked the angle of Russo not remembering what he did. Wish they had played that up a little more and had him try to go straight instead of immediately going back to a life of crime. Probably wouldn't have worked, but it was interesting to see how much he truly cared for Frank and his family.
Curtis was great and I was glad to see a lot more of him.
Karen wasn't overused which I appreciated.
Madani had an interesting story as well dealing with her trauma
Therapist was annoying to me.
Amy was up and down.
Mahony was all over the place.

Overall good and Bernthall is still great as the punisher, but not one of my top shows. Season 1 was top 3 no doubt. Season 2 is middle of the pack IMO.

I don't know anything about his Comic Book canon... I am just going on what was presented to me in the tv show and I think that...

I guess he was a former Irish gang member that got out so to speak but those who hired him got him back into the gangster live in terms of being a hit man as he had his tattoos removed .... And whole weird faith thing that he gets drawn in on was just weird...

I'm not terribly familiar with the comic books for the Netflix heroes, but I read that Pilgrim was based on a character in the comics. Apparently he was a lot tougher than the rest of the Irish gang members still didn't feel like they gave me any insight into what made him so tough.

I felt like the faith thing was just forced. Never felt like it fit and they didn't explain how his faith factored into what he did. Besides quoting scripture and seeming loyal to Corbin Bernsen's character it seemed like his faith was not important. He didn't seem to have any particular code and I don't remember an instance where he spared someone because of his faith. Reminded me of Diamondback a little. Not really a religious person, but a cold blooded killer that sometimes quotes scripture.

A white Jules Winfield? Lol

Yep, although maybe a little less vulgar. 03-thumbsup
