Went back and watched the final episodes of Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Daredevil S2 to catch myself back up with where they left off before The Defenders starts.

How/why does Danny Rand come back fom a destroyed Kowlun(sp?) to NY to hook up with these guys?

Luke Cage could have very well been referred by Claire to Daredevil as I would assume he would still be practicing law at his firm even with Foggy gone.

With the end of DDS2, what is he up to? I mean, Elektra is in some resurrection chamber... Stick is still alive.... The Punisher is still out there as an aly depending on the circumstance.

JJ is most likely actually starting back up her PI business but could still be having issues with how Killgrave died and her set up with Hogarth.
