If he thinks football's $200 bang for the buck isn't worth it (which actually gets the university attention), how does he feel about an invisible track and field's $73 student fee? What does EMU get out of track and field charging each student $73?

I don't think any school in the country has a balance. They are all working on it and they are all at risk for a lawsuit. Dropping 85 men's scholarships gives them a chance to drop a women's sport or two, but not 85 scholarships. FBS requires more sports than merely being in Division I. They can get to the minimum and focus more on basketball and the remaining sports.

They lose and nobody goes to their games. There's no reason to continue football.
