It's rather an incredible thing. Florida's team lost to eventual national champion Virginia in the team quarterfinals, so they're strong up-and-down the line. This pair spent 14 weeks atop the doubles rankings this season, so they didn't back into being #1:

The close loss to Michigan still stings, but this is considerable redemption.

Frankly, I'm stunned. Pleasantly.

Their UNC opponents tomorrow, Jack Murray and Hayden Schnur, today beat Torpergaard (who beat Biosca in that tough singles match) and his partner, 4 and 2. Schnur is now a 3-time All-American (even tho he's Canadian). I kinda think Torpergaard is more a singles player, but of course in college tennis, that's often/usually true.
