My problem is more with the battle with the white walkers lasting all of one episode seemingly just so they can move on to whatever else. Getting rid of Ghost makes sense as even Winterfell was basically his natural southern limit. Killing the dragon last episode seemed like again they just needed to even the odds some so Euron is now hawkeye on a boat with a giant crossbow. I just lost faith that these guys have had a plan they were building toward. It definitely feels like they have an end point they need to reach and they will bend the rules as needed to get there.

To be fair, there were 11 vessels by my count--all armed with the Scoprion 3.0. They apparently caught Dani flying low and slow. Even if she had seen the ships hiding behind the island, she would have had little reason to fear them as the existence of Scorpion 3.0 was an unknown. Also, Dani's fleet is actually anchored when the attack occurs. So Dani is just slowly circling a stationary group of ships. That said, I agree---it did seem like an effort by the writers to even the odds (or even tilt them to Cersie's favor).

Probably all of the above and I saw it as yet another needle on the haystack of her going mad. Then the beheading and she is straight mad and ready to crack. I think her rage is going to boil over and it'll be the end of her with Snow taking the iron thrown.
