What change to Longclaw did you mean?

This is totally offtopic, but I've always hoped Jon ends up with Dawn. If you know the whole unique history and tradition of that sword (Dayne family sword forged from a meteor), you probably get why I think he is perfect for it. AFAIK, it's not currently being wielded by anyone.

And to answer the question about rushing to the end - this has been discussed pretty heavily on the internet, and there is a consensus that HBO and B&W wont confirm, but is pretty obviously correct: HBO wanted 80 hours of this show and B&W told them no. They are tired of doing it. It's getting harder and harder to make, and they are suffering fatigue from the entire genre. That's why they were already working on that now controversial alternate timeline south won the civil war show (yes, that's really what they are working on). HBO agreed to let them split the final season into two seasons with 13 episodes, and they accepted as a compromise.

About the finale - it is not @ 90 minutes as some previously reported. HBO confirmed its only 79 minutes including the opening and credits. It'll just be a few minutes longer than last week's, though I believe it's still the longest episode ever.

Look at the eyes.

The first image is the shot before Jon emerges from the water. The second it when his hand hits the ice to pull himself out (you can see his hand to the right):
