App, Ark State and Troy beat ULM by 40, 37 and 38. You guys only beat them by 20. See how little sense that makes?

POWER rankings...as in how teams are playing right NOW ( not the actual rankings)? It doesn't make sense to look at common opponent within 3 weeks? If not wouldn't this just be the regular rankings?

We played ULM weeks ago. They have gotten worse every week. I don't really think that's in dispute is it? Because they have slid DOWN the power rankings correct? Or is this not how this works?

Don't they change week to week according to who is clicking?

Based on the last three weeks, App has beat Troy, lost to State, and took care of Idaho. Where exactly does any of that indicate that Southern has leapfrogged them and State?

This happened just last year. Some real revisionist history going on in this same thread topic.

I simply said any of the top three could beat the other any given week is what it looks like to me especially with us playing a very complete game finally. Right now, we would be third, but looked VERY good against a team that took App to the limit just a week or two back. Probably good as we have looked all year other than W Mich. If that's what its based on then we can be ranked ahead just like a TON of folks had App ranked ahead of us last year at years end after toting a beating from us.

Fwiw, I'd probably still have App in the top spot had they not lost the C that pretty much flipped the game on its ear. I think you guys take that one based on the first half performance. Without that injury, I think yall squeak it out vs A State. They were able to get quick pressure up the gut on Lamb and it showed.


Really wish we had a shot at AState. Will be nice to get them on a regular rotation with ULL as well.

I wasn't as upset at the second half in that game as I was the first half. App didn't have many opportunities in the second half due to injury, and had they taken care of business in the first half they would've been able to stick to the original game plan. That said, State won the game with relative ease in the second half and through my disgust with what I saw, I was much more impressed with State than I was with Southern on both sides of the ball.

The match-up would be different of course, but State has the players to shut down the TO the same way App and WVU did which is why I would put Southern 3rd still. If App and Southern played again this season i'd still take App to win simply because you can't really fix what Southern did poorly that night as most of it had to do with the scheme App went with than anything. But I have seen Southern and State up close, and State is more physical, bigger, faster, and well coached once he figures out what in the hell he is doing.
