so I will correct my statement to say 80% of the GS fans outright said we were 2nd or 3rd so I still don't see the need to be so butt-hurt about it. GSU Eagles posts some WTF stuff but I really can't find any fault with what he is posting in this thread. The name of the thread is "power rankings". If you're just going to go by the conference standings then what's the point? I'm literate and numerate and can get those from ESPN or the conference website.

I don't have a problem with people saying that StAte is the best team in the conference and think it's a perfectly reasonable. I don't agree that they are the best team in the league by a wide margin when looking at overall body of work and not just being lazy and applying transitive property from two games. How would comparing performance against App State have done in predicting GS @ Troy BTW?

The fact that some would get worked up over an opinion over conference ratings where you post your opinion of conference ratings demonstrates a principle I've referred to before…whatever team is hot or winning has the most annoying fans. Just look at how annoyed some get at Troy fans for getting excited about their team that struggled for a while showing some real signs of life.

If we had a 8-6 cumulative conference record now instead of a 13-1 record no one would be complaining about any opinion any GS fan has on a power rankings thread. Fact.
