That's a pretty safe statement to make considering Fields is no longer on the team to ever prove you wrong. Next time you should also include illness and disciplinary actions as reasons that someone could start in place of another person though if you really want to cover yourself. Fields easily could have started at the 3rd place clinching game at UTEP last season. He played more minutes than Caver did in one of the biggest games of the year, and Caver wasn't injured (he was ill).

Fields is not a mid major point guard. I suspect he will have a decent career at Radford.

Fields isn't even in the same realm as Caver. Not even close
