I am well aware I can do it myself. Every time you make a request, it costs money and time. Not sure what Virginia charges, but most federal agencies charge $150 or you can submit it through a 3rd party to keep your name off it for $300. Other than being a fan, I just don't have that kind of skin in the game. I'm not spending hundreds if not thousands (assuming answers to FOIAs lead to more FOIA requests) plus the time chasing it down. You also don't ask questions in a FOIA request, you request specific documents. If one document references another, that is yet another request. Then, of course, much of the information can be redacted and you have to get legal involved. I've had to use FOIA in my job many times to get to the bottom of things. So no, I am not going to do this for everyone, though I would be happy to put a quote together for the estimated costs to run it to ground and do it for the cost plus fee or quote a fixed price if anyone is interested.

I think someone that donates big money and the time and fees make sense or the media, whose very job it is, should do it. Nice deflection, I just can't understand why you would not want to get the answers.
