Conference talk.

Lance: UC is favored to win this conference. When they spread this thing out, with Gunner and the receivers under the lights at Nippert, this thing will be fun (great enthusiasm).

Tim: Gunner is a guy who really steps up in games.

Tim on conference mates: Talked about Houston and Memphis being the most difficult teams, with Central Florida being a threat. This may be the best Temple team in my lifetime. I don't think East Carolina will be as good. Tommy (Tuberville) is very happy that Navy isn't in the east.

On future conference prospects: The conference thread is the most frequently posted about in years. I was told last year that if expansion didn't happen in the spring time (last spring), it wasn't going to happen. The Big 12 is being ridiculous. They have to get with everyone else. They have to get a championship game. I think the ACC makes much more sense. UC fans would travel very well if that's the case. People think that the basketball arena was the next piece of the puzzle to make the Big 12 take notice. I don't think all of these decisions are a coincidence.
