What was Okauru's situation then? How is that so much different?

What i meant is if they look at the history, multiple issues (waiver denied), playing 1 game one place, 6 another it's a very atypical situation. Vs. Okauru was what they would normally expect to see. Went one place, fulfilled his duties as a student athlete and transferred once.

Gotcha... Maybe I'm being optimistic but it feels harsh to make him sit another year because he played one game in Raleigh and then didn't mesh with a coaching staff he didn't commit to play for at St. John's. I know the NCAA can be strict, but I'm hopeful they would give this kid a break.

Yeah. I know everything Siddle does or thinks about is gold to you, but there is concern with this one.

1. We have serious immediate needs and we just inked a transfer who we have no idea if he’d have to wait a year or not.

2. Like Hoops said, he already bolted on a team Siddle was the lead assistant on once.

3. He wasn’t really a factor on a St Johns team that wasn’t that good.

I totally understand the folks that are looking at his HS years tapes and salivating. I get that. If he can for sure be eligible right away, I think his stock rises significantly on a team that lacks size. If we have to wait... I’m not all that excited.
